Braun Companion Van SE
Conversion Wheelchair Vans
The Braun Companion Van SE gives people with a disability the accessible features of a traditional lowered floor wheelchair minivan, but at a reduced cost. The savings come from a manual door and wheelchair ramp, as well as partially lowered floor. These accessible wheelchair vans are perfect for the person with a disability who has an attendant accompanying them at all times.
Manual Mobility Ramp Van
The manual van ramp in a Companion Van SE mobility van conversion offers access to power or manual wheelchairs as well as many types of electric scooter. Like other Braun wheelchair accessible vans, the aluminum ramp is slotted to keep the van interior clean.
Lowered Floor Companion Van
The floor of these BraunAbility wheelchair vans has been lowered from the front of the back seats to the back of the front seats. The effect of this conversion is a portion in the middle of the mobility van which accomodates most seated wheelchair passengers. The lowered floor creates enough verticle height for most wheelchair passengers to enter and sit inside the wheelchair acessible van conversion comfortably.
Safety Features
The BraunAbility Companion Van Side Entry comes standard with wheelchair tie downs. Since these wheelchair vans are not meant as driver applications, hand controls or other disability driving controls are not necessary. Braun also makes the Braun Companion Van RE, a rear entry manually operated accessible van.
